Seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a field assistant position. The field assistant will have the opportunity to assist with data collection for a MSc research project dealing with grassland birds (specially the Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark) and pasture management.
Ability to identify grassland birds by sight and sound - particularly the Bobolink and Eastern Meadowlark.
Previous field research and data collection experience is an asset but not required.
Applicant must be willing to work long hours in adverse weather.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working with cattle and in farmlands is an asset.
Attention to detail.
