Good work culture, nice and helpful co workers, confused management (probably because of accelerated coal fleet shutdown). sometimes it is too stressful to meet the deadline of deliverable. Good part is appreciation after successful completion of task.
Reasonably good compensation package

Piping and Boiler Planner (Former Employee) – Wabamun Lake, AB – 9 November 2015
My time at TransAlta was a joy most of the time. Co-workers where easy to work with and listened to what you had to say. Management was ok most of the time but with tight money thing could get a little tense at times.
Human Resources Analyst (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 7 December 2014
In my opinion, if you have experience, you will move forward quickly, but they ask for more experience than job actually needs. Succession planning is terrible as they promote the teachers pet and not the best employee. Too many specialist, not enough leaders
