We are proud of what we do. We build vehicles for Canadians and Americans right here in Canada. We’ve won more JD Power & Associates Plant Quality Awards than any other plant in the Americas. We’re also leaders when it comes to the environment, sending zero waste to landfill, and maintaining our ISO 14001 certification.

“A major car model change every five years allows me to keep up to date in the latest technology, equipment, and building controls and always provides a challenge.”- Team Member, Engineering
When it comes to the environment, actions speak louder than words. So, every Team Member is required to understand our Toyota Environmental Policy and to put its principles to practice. To keep the environment at the forefront of thought and action, we created the acronym ECOPAK: Environmental Awareness, Compliance, Objectives and Targets, Pollution Prevention, Audit, and Kaizen. All Team Members live up to ECOPAK everyday. One visible sign: our plants send zero waste to landfill—everything is recycled or composted.
When you can build more than 500,000 vehicles every year, you would think there would be significant waste. Think again. In 2004, TMMC set a goal of sending zero waste to landfill—and met that goal in 2006 through comprehensive recycling, reusing, reducing and composting programs. We continue to set new environmental goals every year—raising the bar for manufacturing operations.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada (TMMC) is a world-class automotive facility with manufacturing plants located in Cambridge and Woodstock, Ontario. We are one of the largest Toyota Motor Manufacturing facilities in North America and we produce the top quality Toyota Corolla, RAV4, and the Lexus RX 350 and RX 450h. We have been recognized as one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada for multiple years.
The world famous Toyota Production System, a philosophy of continuous improvement and on-going training, enables each Team Member to work towards their highest potential. The success of our company stems from hiring results-driven, self-motivated individuals, with the ability to work together to achieve team goals.
TMMC isn’t just one plant; our operations include three different plants — North, West and South. Each builds a different vehicle. What they all have in common is an approach to manufacturing known as the Toyota Production System or TPS, which has literally changed how automobile manufacturers around the world produce vehicles.
As important as what we build, is how we build it, using the Toyota Production System. TPS is a dynamic system, subject to continual change. – less
