Toyota currently has an exciting opportunity for an automotive enthusiast to manage our Vancouver Parts Distribution Centre. As the Manager of the Vancouver PDC you will be required to provide direction and leadership within the PDC to ensure a safe, efficient and productive operation, ensure the PDC operation is supportive of corporate policies, objectives and the Toyota Way. Part of this will be done by ensuring the PDC operations are supportive of Dealer and internal Departments for the greater benefit and managing the PDC manpower, operating costs and productivity while ensuring excellent Customer Service.

What we need from you:
University diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field
Five to seven years' related experience at the management level, setting objectives and managing personnel
Thorough understanding of physical distribution and material handling concepts
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Administers Corporate and Parts Operations policies and procedures as they relate to the PDC and/or Dealer
Regulated labour, health & safety and transportation of dangerous goods requirements
Manpower related to recruitment/termination, attendance, discipline
Dealer parts orders, returns, credits/debits and other inquiries
Associate development and coaching and the Toyota Way
Collect and analyse data as required to effectively manage the PDC operation
Manages PDC layout to optimize space utilization, ergonomics and productivity
Recommends new equipment, systems, processes or materials to improve PDC operations
Maintain effective Zone Office communication on important Dealer and parts issues
Maintains an effective relationship with transportation companies associated with PDC operation.
Maintains systems, and process controls to ensure physical inventory accuracy
Ensures all vehicles assigned to the PDC are maintained and used according to company standards and policy
