Toyo is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join its Information Technology Department as the Bilingual Systems Administrator. He/she will be responsible for providing IT support to Toyo staff, customers and suppliers; building web applications; and managing Toyo’s networking, telecommunications, servers and user devices, and IT documentation.


  • Responsible for all aspects of managing networking services
  • Responsible for planning, support and maintenance of telecommunications gear
  • Responsible for planning, support and maintenance of servers, desktops, laptops, and tablets
  • Designs, develops, and implements web applications based on internal and external customer needs
  • Troubleshoots, debugs and implements web applications
  • Provide first-line technical support to all staff, customers and business partners for common desktop applications and B2B services in a timely manner
  • Responsible for documenting procedures for end users as well as procedures for IT Staff
  • Ensure IT assets are used and maintained according to company policy
  • Work with the IT Manager in various IT-related projects (Security, Hardware Upgrades, Software, Technologies)
  • Support IT strategic decision making process by providing cost effective, efficient and well suited recommendations based on research and experience


  • 10% Travel across Canada, mainly Toronto, for IT maintenance
  • Available during off hours to cover for Pacific Standard Time Coverage and emergency IT issues


  • Must have a college diploma in IT, computer science, computer programming, or a related discipline
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Bilingual in French & English, both written & spoken
  • Effective & professional communication skills in person, on the phone, electronically, or through other means to individuals and groups
  • Solid experience building web applications using various languages PHP, JavaScript, etc
  • Continuing education in IT field to keep up-to-date with changing technologies
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, technical writing skills, multi-tasking and time-management skills, organization skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work under minimal supervision (remote management)
