Under the direction of the Administrator the Public Works Foreman will be responsible for the development implementation and communication of goals objectives budgets and priorities. Will prepare reports and present to Council. Will assist along with facilitating manangement by providing specialist input to developement of policy recommendationk, strategic planning and implementation and other management and oeprational matters. Liaisons with consultants, government agencies, regulatory services, and suppliers. Perform publid relations activities related to road maintenance and construction, water supply, drainage issues, and operational activities. Develpmenty of departmental operating/capital b udgets and long-range budgets that support both the department's madate, and the goals and objectives of the Municipal Strategic Plan. Review of engineering plans and work projects. Will supervise a small crew. Must be willing to take the Class 1 Water and Wasteater Course. Must possess the PME Certificate or have experience running heavy equipment. Must have excellent public relations skills, and ability to develp and present ideas both orally and in writing. Must also possess management, planning, coaching, supervising, disciplining, and team building skills.
