Wanted: Receptionist (2 Year Contract)

The Town of Collingwood has an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist in the Business Development Centre. The Receptionist role will provide front counter client service which includes responding to inquiries, directing clients to business resources and providing information. Provide reception services including answering multi-line telephones; mail services, book meeting rooms and general secretarial support for staff located in the Business Development Centre.
The role will additional provide administrative support to the Marketing & Business Development Manager including tracking files, work with various reports, documents and promotional materials, prepare meeting agendas/minutes, schedule appointments. In addition, provide research information for the Business Development Centre, prepare and update documents and other support duties as required.
You will bring with you a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field with a minimum of one year’s experience in business administration and customer service. Knowledge of support in a business environment, business start-up processes, government and private sector programs and services available to assist small business, event planning and organization, and telephone contact. Knowledge of general office procedures, including taking minutes, editing reports/correspondence and records and information management filing systems. Knowledge of the organizations, industry associations and government programs related to small business. Computer literacy utilizing MS Office software applications and familiarity with the Provincial SCREEN system and ability to work outside regular business hours as required. The position is 35 h/w with an annual salary range from $41,623 to $50,559 plus benefits.
