A successful Town Shoes Store Manager demonstrates:

Motivation and entrepreneurial drive

  • A skilled use of discretion to proactively manage the business
  • A drive to improve staff culture and client experience
  • An ability to maintain focus on short-term targets while working towards ‘big picture’ goals
  • Strong work ethic through a consistently high level of energy and focus with minimal direction from others

Strong sales and customer service focus

  • A genuine love of sales
  • An aptitude to quickly read customers’ needs and respond appropriately to effectively close sales
  • Commitment to demonstrate that the Customer is always #1
  • Dedication to providing world-class service as well as building long-term relationships with customers

Experience leading and developing teams

  • A strong background in recruiting, training and inspiring top performers
  • A dedication to influence staff by leading by example through hands-on work
  • Experience effectively leading teams of 8 or more people
  • A strong ability to maximize sales through strong merchandising and inventory management
  • Experience mentoring staff in developing goals, creating meaningful work experiences, monitoring performance, and providing honest, constructive feedback

Demonstrated fashion industry and product passion

  • A genuine passion for shoes and fashion
  • Up to date knowledge on current fashion trends
  • An interest to be creatively involved in building brand awareness through marketing initiatives

Planning and coordination skills and the ability to adapt to change

  • A dedication to partner with head office executives to organize and oversee all store operations
  • A skilled ability to translate strategies, objectives, and assignments into plans with clear priorities and targets
