A successful Town Shoes Store Manager demonstrates:

Motivation and entrepreneurial drive

A skilled use of discretion to proactively manage the business
A drive to improve staff culture and client experience
An ability to maintain focus on short-term targets while working towards ‘big picture’ goals
Strong work ethic through a consistently high level of energy and focus with minimal direction from others

Strong sales and customer service focus

A genuine love of sales
An aptitude to quickly read customers’ needs and respond appropriately to effectively close sales
Commitment to demonstrate that the Customer is always #1
Dedication to providing world-class service as well as building long-term relationships with customers

Experience leading and developing teams

A strong background in recruiting, training and inspiring top performers
A dedication to influence staff by leading by example through hands-on work
Experience effectively leading teams of 8 or more people
A strong ability to maximize sales through strong merchandising and inventory management
Experience mentoring staff in developing goals, creating meaningful work experiences, monitoring performance, and providing honest, constructive feedback

Demonstrated fashion industry and product passion

A genuine passion for shoes and fashion
Up to date knowledge on current fashion trends
An interest to be creatively involved in building brand awareness through marketing initiatives

Planning and coordination skills and the ability to adapt to change

A dedication to partner with head office executives to organize and oversee all store operations
A skilled ability to translate strategies, objectives, and assignments into plans with clear priorities and targets
