Tax/Utility Clerk
Permanent Full Time Term

The Town of Fort Macleod is seeking a qualified individual to fill the permanent position of a Tax/Utility Clerk. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for processing and collection of municipal property taxes along with maintaining the Municipal Tax Roll. This position will be responsible to act as the liaison for the utility services, administration of the Town Cemetery services, coordination and administration of safety codes and permits, land files and administration support within the front office.

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm.
CUPE Local 70 Wage: $22.63

Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will possess:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Office applications, accounting software knowledge
  • Experience in previous Tax Roll considered an asset
  • Previous municipal government experience
  • Strong Accounting knowledge
  • Highly developed customer service skills and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic, the ability to trouble shoot and problem solve
  • Safety Code experience an asset
