Location: Calgary, Alberta

Reports to: Controller/Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial calculations and analysis, journal entries, account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly/annual reports including external financial statements, MD&A and annual securities filings
- Oversee the relationship with audit field staff to ensure the annual audit, quarterly reviews and ad-hoc non audit work are completed effectively and efficiently
- Review, test and document management controls over business processes, exploring weaknesses and opportunities for process improvements
- Assist with company transfer pricing program and corporate tax compliance
- Collect, analyze and review information required to prepare operating and capital budgets
- Monitor and analyze the capital expenditure and AFE process
- Complete various other monthly financial reports for senior management review

Qualifications:
- A recognized accounting designation (CMA, CGA, or CA)
- Three years of related experience in a corporate reporting environment or senior accounting role
- Accounting experience in the oil and gas industry is an asset
- Understanding and application of IFRS and Securities standards
- Understanding of consolidations, financial processes and internal controls
- Must be willing to travel internationally
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and present information to senior level executives and managers
