Pros: running your own crew
Cons: living out of town basically
My first "real job". I started as an apprentice sprinkler fitter. I learned how to manage a job site and install automatic fire sprinkler systems from start to finish. The most enjoyable aspect of working here was the comradery of the crews and the trust of self starting. I was the first person in company history to pass the MN state Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter test. The hardest part of the job was working way out of town 31/2 hours away from home in Minneapolis, which meant staying in a hotel room Mon-Fri for 4 years.
