This is an excellent private club with tons of benefits. The people are very nice and take great pride in the club. There is a lot of opportunity to learn and spread your wings. It is great to be able to forge connections with the many members, who also have a passion for the club.
Pros
Good work/life balance

Some fun people to work with but no proper restaurant structure.
Line-Cook and Prep-Cook (Current Employee) –  Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club28 May 2015
Typical day at work is basically running around in circles picking up after the other employees that did not finish their tasks. The structure of the workplace itself is not a sound one, where they would rather just fly by the seat of their pants and change events at the last second. That being said the team that I did work with in the kitchen was a good one and on a normal day would be able to get through things quickly and efficiently to make sure that members did not have to wait for their food any longer than they should.

Hardest part of the job for me was attempting to understand that focal point of the menu, mainly because there was no focal point.

Most enjoyable part of the job was the direct interaction to the members when I would cook food for them on my section which was pasta bar, which focused more on what the members wanted while allowing them to see what basically happens to their food from start to finish. A fun experience for most people if they do not cook very often.
Pros
Fun people to work with
Cons
Very little organization and structure from management.

Food and Beverage Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON12 August 2012
Extemely busy club, very high voulme in terms of food orders. I have learned cutomer service skills and how best to deal with issues and concerns. Management is lacking in terms of staff training, approach towards staff, and investing in there employees. the hardest part of the job was dealing with very high volume with not enouch staff to meet all the needs and requirements of the members. the most enjoyable part of the job is the staff and the membership.
Pros
great work pension plan.
Cons
no investment in there employees, in terms of growth or advancement with in the club.
