About the Position:

Regional Painters play a valued role in the successful operations of our apartment complexes and in the
overall success of Timbercreek. This role is responsible for servicing multiple buildings. The incumbent will
take pride in ensuring superior craftsmanship in the execution of job functions, as well as providing
service and support to our tenants, thereby ensuring that Timbercreek is the preferred land lord of
choice.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Ensure that a superior level of service and support is provided to tenants

Operations:

  • Responsible for servicing multiple buildings, both interior and exterior work
  • Areas to be painted include but are not limited to: hallways, stairwells, some in suite painting, parking stripes and fence painting
  • Pro-actively inspects grounds and facilities to determine if repairs or preventative maintenance are required
  • Calculation of the proper quantities of supplies for work orders and for maintaining standard inventory
  • Responsible for; Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paint, stains and other hazardous materials
  • Perform other duties that may be necessary to maintain the property in a clean safe and healthy condition

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Completion of High School or general education degree (GED)
  • 2 -3 + years of pervious painting experience
  • Exposure to the multi-residential or other related industry asset class would be considered an asset
  • WHMIS certification would be an asset
  • Experience using a paint sprayer
  • Experience in plaster/drywall repair

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in the use of sprayer equipment, compressors, sandblaster and small power equipment
  • Knowledge of erecting scaffolding, ladders and planks to reach surfaces of work areas for painting

  • Knowledge of tools, equipment and application of techniques common to the painting trade
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials handling
  • A professional demeanor and coupled with strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to accurately listen, understand and respond appropriately
  • Ability to work and act independently using good judgment when assessing difficult situations
  • Self-motivated individual who has a “can-do” and “no task is too big or too small” attitude
  • Superior organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask/prioritize and work under tight timelines
