On a typical day at work, I handle media inquiries in the online and print media categories (i.e. product borrows, image requests, credit information)
Compile monthly reports of publicity placements with a competitor clip analysis analyzing total clips per month vs ads and distribute to senior management
Manage celebrity and social media agencies daily requests, invoicing and project collaborations
Manage merchandise inventory and samples for team
Handle invoices for various outside vendors etc.
Brainstorm program ideas for upcoming promotions with team
Generate press pitch emails and distribute to relevant press
I've learned to manage multiple projects and meet tight "fire drill" deadlines that are staples within the media relations industry.
I've learned more about team work and problem solving by knowing there is a way to get everything done.
