Thomson Reuters is a great compnay to work for. It's a large company with a small, laid back office atmosphere. Great benefits.

Interesting company to work for.
Senior Sales Order Specialist, Chicago (Former Employee), Buenos Aires, BApril 17, 2015
no motivation to work hard, constantly squeezing pay from employees and constant layoffs. Managers did what they could with what they had but company was disorganized and very uninspiring.

Pros: Compensation/Benefits - Work/Life Balance
Cons: Work being sent overseas
Overall, good to great company - Compensation/Benefits and Job Work/Life Balance is great - the area/department that I was in was constantly being downsized every year near the end of the year (since nearly all the work was being moved overseas) and therefore caused stress for those who were still there - other departments may have been different - I loved the work that I did while I was there but because of the stress of all the work being sent overseas, caused undo friction at times between coworkers

It was really a wonderful experience working with Thomson Reuters. My role in the organisation is Media Research Analyst collecting and analyzing news for global client on daily basis. Few thing I have learned from the organisation is time management, innovative ideas and strategy management. I will take this opportunity to thank my co-workers they were really helpful as well as co-operative.

Cons: Winters in Rochester NY can be rough.
Thomson Reuters attracts the top of the employment pool for usually very interesting work in the legal publication field.

There are many opportunities for advancement and innovation is encouraged. The team environment fosters cooperation and collaboration. One's colleagues are often friends for life.

I learned much about the publishing business, the legal business, and corporate structure.

Limited Direction & Budgets to Execute
Vice President (Current Employee), Boston, MAApril 6, 2015
Overall CEO strategy is sound but there is no budget to execute. Move to the enterprise not backed up with budgets or mandates to the BUS to implement is hurting TR.

Great job if you can work independently
Client Development (Current Employee), californiaApril 4, 2015
Pros: work from home, no micro management
Cons: base pay low
The benefits are great, compensation for sales used to be great, now its so so. They increased goals to make it harder to get bonuses, made it more difficult to make the amount of money reps used to make.
Management has been great (if you are making your numbers) The hardest part of this job is getting in front of attorneys. Cold calling.
