Position Title: Supportive Roommate
Reference #: 00L01
I am a 28 year old woman who is looking for a supportive roommate to share my first home with. This is a new and exciting time for me. I am hesitant to have a new staff in my life and finding someone I can build a strong, reliable relationship with is very important to me.
Are you fun, motivational, creative and have a good sense of humor? Are you able to understand when a person needs personal space and time alone? I hope you are able to encourage, support and motivate me with day to day planning, household responsibilities, and building relationships. I may also need help with expressing myself in an assertive and positive way and ongoing communication with my family and support staff is essential.
I enjoy watching movies, learning how to cook, playing golf, reading magazines and books, scrapbooking, swimming and even fishing. I like camping and outside activities. One day I would like to have a cat.
Currently, I volunteer, work part time and will be attending TRU in the fall. I have a community inclusion worker that I work with 30 hours each week.
I like how my life is becoming more independent but I need help with safety and vulnerabilities in the community and at home. Having a supportive roommate who understands this is very important to me and my family.
