The Westside Gathering Church is looking for someone to give leadership to our Sunday children’s gatherings (Kids Quest), to lead and develop our volunteer staff, and to develop areas of connection with children and families in our community. We’re looking for someone with a passion for the spiritual growth of children and families, team oriented attitude and skills, and a missional heart for families in our community. This is a full time role in a young and growing church that started 9 years ago in Montreal, Quebec.

FAMILY MINISTRIES (KidsQuest Director)
ROLE: partner with Westside’s mission of connecting people into a growing relationship with Christ and each other by giving leadership to KidsQuest and developing families in our community to grow inwards (transformation) and outwards (mission).
Give leadership to KidsQuest (Sunday environments from infant to grade school) by continuing to shape it in a way that reflects the mission and vision of Westside
Lead and develop KidsQuest team so they will serve in their best capacity in order that kids will be lovingly cared for and challenged to know and serve God with passion.
Come alongside families – resourcing them – as they spiritually shape their children
Partner with existing projects and environments (and/or develop new ones) that involve kids and/or families in the area of transformation, community, and mission.

Commitment to see children from all backgrounds discover God.
Ability to work in a flexible environment
Desire and skill to work with volunteers in a way that volunteers are inspired, challenged, and developed to serve with full devotion.
Desire to serve children and families in the larger community, not strictly families within the church community
Experience in Children's ministry an asset
Administrative skills an asset
Communicate clearly with teams, families, and larger community
Other GENERAL GOALS:
Involve others: develop teams and team leaders around each area where/when possible
Respect yearly rhythm/calendar: events/dates work in partnership within Westside’s seasonal calendar and rhythm
Good stewardship: financial demands of tasks/goals work within Westside’s annual budget
TIME: Full Time (possibility of part-time options, inquire if interested)
Must be a mature follower of Christ
Contribute to Westside’s mission and vision in the following:
o connecting to community (gatherings and groups)
o contributing to community (serving and stewardship
Volunteering: model volunteering within Westside in/outside your role, as we expect each person in our community to volunteer some personal time per week
