NRO supports The Salvation Army by recycling and selling donated goods which generates funds in support of its social services programs within our communities.
As a District Manager you will oversee a group of stores within an assigned area and ensure the stores success by executing strategies, upholding standards, building and motivating an effective management team, maintaining effective merchandising techniques- brand consistency, and achieving financial goals.
Our ideal candidate must have 5-6 years Retail supervisory experience plus knowledge of, and experience in, store operations, merchandise techniques and retail management, human resources management (e.g., hiring, performance management and training) – including responsibility for multiple locations. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. They also require knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. You will need to be computer literate with Microsoft Office suite, internet, and basic office equipment and knowledge of basic accounting procedures.

You can expect joining a hands-on work environment where you will be required to physically move through our operation while adhering to daily goals. You will be expected to travel to the stores within your assigned district and overnight travel may be required occasionally. We are operational 7 days a week, however, our stores are opened for shopping Monday to Saturday. We schedule our employees based on operational needs - days, evenings and weekends (*note Sundays we are opened to receive donations).
