Major Responsibilities:

  • Produce product promos, appeals, invitation to events, series openers, including international versions
  • Produce short reports and stories for the flagship show including Living Letters and Mission Reports
  • Collect and condense or edit, written testimonies and comments from emails, letters and web submissions for posting on the web site and producing Living Letters
  • Write strong, compelling, well-structured scripts in television format
  • Facilitate post production workflow by scheduling segments to be edited with editors and edit suites
  • Assist with a weekly post-production meeting to facilitate communication in the post production department
  • Write and coordinate the recording of “throws to next week”
  • Assist Production Manager where needed on telethon, overseas productions and local productions
  • Shot listing in CATDV on larger projects (telethon, overseas productions)
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Must have a deep growing personal faith in Jesus Christ and support the Statement of Faith of The Peoples Church
  • Minimum seven years of experience in production; working in a broadcast environment
  • Excellent script writing skills and experience
  • Relevant academic degree or diploma (e.g. broadcasting, television production, communications)
  • Experience with video production in a tapeless environment using digital work flow
  • Experience in documentary/ENG production through all phases: generating story ideas, research, pre-production, directing crew in the field, script writing etc.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital media cataloguing systems and demonstrated ability to use new programs and technologies
  • Ability to edit a project to assembly or rough cut stage is an asset, or ability to assemble select shots within a cataloguing system
  • Professional, responsive and positive work attitude is essential
  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and take responsibility for timely and accurate completion of tasks
  • Excellent computer skills, fully literate in MS Office suite
