The Consumer & Shopper Practice Area specializes in delivering profit enhancing solutions to client business issues through the application of consumer & shopper insights and practice area expertise. Our solutions utilize survey, segmentation and targeting methodologies.
As an analyst within the Consumer & Shopper Practice Area, you will add value through a strong understanding of consumer and shopper analytics. You will work with clients both internal and external to drive thought leadership and passion around Consumer and Shopper expertise, working across several Nielsen solutions to add value. Working within a team environment, you will develop solid relationships with the client development account teams. You will act as a key liaison between the company and our clients, as well as participate in various initiatives. You will consult, analyze, integrate and present relevant information to assist our internal account teams and clients in their understanding of the products and services.
The ideal candidate will have:
Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Economics or related field
Very strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
Passion for customer service
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Able to demonstrate insightful data analysis by turning raw information into insights
Loves to work with data and has a passion for finding insights from it
Solid written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail, good logic and time management skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Strong technical skills with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
Marketing, sales or category management experience preferred but not required
Experience with Homescan preferred
Experience or familiarity with survey-based research preferred but not required
