Description: The Horse Ranch in Baldonnel, BC Canada is seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer with proven leadership and highly developed natural horsemanship skills to continue the organizations operations and build growth. This professional is also responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all operational activities at the highest level of management and providing overall direction of the agency.

Illustrated Duties:

Develop, direct, plan, and implement policies, objectives, and activities of the business.

Develop and implement a success corporate sponsorship program.

Create and build public awareness through effective communication regarding the business’s services, products and sponsorship opportunities.

Represent the organization’s interests locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Provide overall management and direction of the organization, including supervision of all employees.

Develop and implement a successful funding strategy to build the $1,000,000 Training Complex at The Horse Ranch.

Direct and coordinate the financial and budget activities, maximize resources, and increase efficiency.

Regularly analyze operations to evaluate performance of the business, its staff and services, meeting objectives and to determine areas of potential improvement or policy change.

Perform related work, projects, or duties, as assigned.


Knowledge and ability to develop objectives and strategies to enhance the operations and expansion of the business.

Skill in relationship building and fostering collaboration to work effectively with community leaders, sponsors, clients and staff.

Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize work based upon the organization’s goals and objectives.

Ability to lead, direct, and motivate staff towards the accomplishment of normal activities or special project assignments.

Ability to formulate recommendations and alternative solutions to problems.

Ability to work independently and to develop guidelines, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure compliance with the goals of the organization.

Ability to communicate ideas, recommendations, and technical information clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.

Ability to analyze, comprehend, and prepare statistical data and operational, management, and financial reports for presentation to others.

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Liberal Arts, one of the Social Sciences, Public or Business Administration or related field; and ten years of relevant professional experience. Has taught natural horsemanship for at least 4 years at a high level and is able to manage large groups of students. Has developed and implemented successful funding strategies resulting in over a million dollars in capital improvements. Has secured annual sponsorships of over $100,000 annually during the past 10 years.
