The incumbent performs all of the following duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals for residents, including special meals for residents as instructed by dietician
• Monitor proper food temperature and storageHelp in overseeing kitchen operations
• Clean and maintain spotless kitchen, work areas, dishes, utensils, food preparation aids, appliances and dining area

Follow dietician approved menu and food portion sizes

• Help to maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Continually update grocery list
• May monitor and order food and supplies through a supplier or buy in grocery store.
• Perform other related tasks as required by the immediate Supervisor
