We are currently seeking a Communication Assistant for our Home Office located at 116 Nature Park Way in Winnipeg, MB.


Reporting to the Communication Specialist, the Communication Assistant will assist in project work on a term basis (summer). The work will support the development and execution of TDG’s strategic and tactical communication plans and ensures all TDG communications are of the highest quality and reflects the standard and professionalism of the company.


Assist with event planning such as TDG’s annual golf tournament, Play for a Purpose
Assist with planning and execution of community and charitable programs
Support TDG’s internal website and explore opportunities for further improvement and engagement
Support the execution of TDG’s internal communications plan to enhance employee engagement and build awareness of the company’s strategic objectives and achievements
Support corporate and executive level communications
Assist with writing and editing articles for internal and external distribution
Support communications planning for change management and corporate projects
Support corporate web development and marketing projects
Review and edit various materials
Provide research support for new initiatives as needed
Assist with video production (if within skill set)


Minimum of one year in communications, marketing or journalism program or relevant experience
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Solid understanding of communication principles and practices
Experience in event planning and management is an asset
Experience using content management software and/or website development is an asset
Knowledge of video production and editing, including Final Cut Pro, is an asset


Superior writing, research and editing skills coupled with a creative flair and understanding of how to use effective communications skills and tools
Strong organization and time management skills
Able to manage and adapt to multiple projects and deadlines
Positive attitude and a desire to learn
Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrates the company’s Core competencies


Must be able to work extra time outside of normal office hours as required
