Stockroom Supervisor (Former Employee), Vaughan, ONJanuary 9, 2013
Pros: the work pace was very high
Cons: holidays were extremely bust
A typical day word be, counting inventory, ensuring my fellow co-workers were working effiiciently and working the amount of boxes the company required us to work. I learned how to maintain a consistant hard work enviroment with my co-workers. Managment was very supportive. My co-workers were fun to work with. The hardest part of the job was ensuring – more... all customers were satisfied. The most enjoyable part of the job was working in a high paced enviroment – less

RETAIL CASH MANAGER (Current Employee), mississaugaNovember 7, 2012
Pros: discount for you to buy for you kids
Cons: unfair treatment to co workers
you do the work and the managers get the bonus.you can put in the time and you would think being loyal to a company would earn you some respect it does not
arrive at work clock in put away any returnes clean up cash area make sure bags are filled cash area is cleaned. the hardest part is having management not standing up for you when coustomers are – more... rude and use the racial slur ,however the best part is when you work with your favorite co workers and you get to help find the perfect fift for that mother or father that makes it all worth it – less

Helping customers
Sales Associate/Customer Service (Current Employee), Baltimore, MDOctober 7, 2014
Pros: helping others, continuously learning, people you meet
Working for the Children Place has definitely been a learning experience. I have learned to push myself and I am capable of so much more than I had ever known. Although, management serves a leadership role I have learned the foundation for a prosperous work environment is understanding that all employees are a team no matter of which position is being – more... taken. Employees spend a lot of time at work so it is quite easy to connect with and learn form my co-workers and overall has been a very positive experience. The most difficult parts of the job would most likely be short notice store and pricing changes however, we have always got the job done. The most enjoyable experiences would have to be helping customers find what there looking for and getting the best deals because they truly do appreciate it, especially when your giving your all and trying your best. – less

CASHIER/SALESFLOOR (Former Employee), Ontario, CAJuly 22, 2014
Pros: fast paced environment
Cons: no health benefits
My workdays always went good, it was a fast paced working environment which I think it's always better to work at, I learned how to work on the sales floor, and got a taste to work at a mall during Black Friday, my management team was the best, and my co-workers were very nice and welcoming. Even though Black Friday was the the most extreme fast paced – more... day it can get hectic with all the customers and trying to keep the store clean and all merchandise organized, but besides all that it enjoyed my days working there. – less

fun place to interact with kids and parents.
Lead sales associate (Former Employee), Coventry, CTApril 17, 2014
working at the Children's Place, i gained a lot of experience. I had many responsibilities that included delegation, costumer service, store remodels and store openings as well as maintenance. a typical day at work included cleaning up the store, getting it ready to open and appeal to costumers. Being a lead sales associate, costumer service and fast – more... pace work is very imperative. I had to make sure all the items were filled and try add- ons to make more sales in order to meet the daily goals. at the end of the day and beginning i had to go to the bank and deposit whatever our company made and make sure our drawers had change and the right amount of money. I enjoyed working with all associates, they were very helpful and made the days fun and interesting. I would not say there was a hard part working at The Children's Place. of course costumers could occasionally become irate but we were always taught to kill them with kindness. the most enjoyable part of my job would be the costumer service. i love working with people and i enjoyed making families happy with the merchandise we sold and the great deals and sales we always had. I also liked helping parents calm their kids down when they were trying to shop. Just s simple sticker or a lollipop would always do the trick. – less
