You’re an experienced electrical engineer with extraordinary problem solving skills. You love to design intricate devices for next generation technology. You’ll work with our electrical engineering team to debug analog circuits, design new sensors, design PCBs and schematics, and meet tight deadlines. If you daydream of opamps and you know Altium Designer inside and out, then this job may be for you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing improved biological sensor design
  • Assisting the team in designing mixed signal schematics and PCBs
  • Debugging the assembled boards
  • Tuning RF antennas
  • Selecting components for the PCBs
  • Liaising with various component suppliers

What you need:

  • Minimum BSEE, 4 years post-university experience debugging and designing electronics in a commercial environment
  • Exceptional analog and digital design skills
  • Experience using Altium Designer to design multi-layered PCBs with blind and semi-blind vias and fine pitched WLCSP components
  • Experience in high reliability circuit design
  • Experience debugging with multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators
  • Experience soldering and reworking fine pitched components such as 0402 capacitors and resistors
  • Experience designing with ARM M4 microcontrollers
  • Experiencing sourcing components

What would give you an advantage:

  • Experience with start-to-finish technical design of electro-mechanical products
  • Experience designing products for international markets, particularly for military and aerospace
  • Knowledge of embedded programming of ARM M4 cortex processors
  • Experience with robotics
  • Experience programming in MATLAB, Java, C, C++, Python, VHDL, and Visual Basic
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments
  • Experience working within a small team in a commercial environment to design and debug products
