Bad but fun
General Assistant (Former Employee), Plymouth, ENGJune 27, 2014
Pros: good breaks
Cons: bad management
I didn't enjoy this job, i loved working with some of the staff but management was very poor and treated me awfully at times. None of this was my manager, t was other departments managers. I learned so much and continuously apply what i have learnt everyday. The hardest part of this job was being talked to like im next to nothing. The most enjoyable – more... part was working with fun people and helping customers. – less

Fun workplace but poor management and no communication
Delivery Driver (Current Employee), Royston, Hertfordshire, ENGJune 26, 2014
Pros: cheap lunches and 10% off shopping
Cons: management and communication
Eventhough I may not learn much everyday I enjoy the fact that most days offer different challenges. The other drivers I work with are great, we all help eachother and have a good team ethic. The management lets itself down mainly due to lack of communication. It seems like the drivers are the last people to find out about any changes to our job!! The – more... hardest part about my job is getting my van loaded and out on time, this is normally because the produce for my route has not been picked yet which makes me late out. I do love finally getting out on the road though, it's like I am my own boss!! – less

interesting and challenging work place
customer service assistant (Current Employee), Perth and kinrossJune 26, 2014
Pros: better wages, friendly environment
A typical day could be when there is less staff than the required number of people. I have learned to manage time, communicate with new people, leadership qualities and of the most, understanding the strategies of the company to attract customers. Very organised management and friendly co workers. The most enjoyable part of the job is interaction with – more... the customers and helping them. – less

Customer Advisor (Former Employee), Milton KeynesJune 25, 2014
Pros: lunces
Cons: long hours
• Replenishing stock in the allocated location, also checking the space capacity was accurate to ensure that the delivery of stock matched the maximum allocated space.
• Using Tesco's PDA system to ensure all waste and reduced products were accounted for and recorded to be taken off the store system database.

Tesco Work Experience
Work Experience (Former Employee), Gainsborough, ENGJune 24, 2014
During my 2 weeks of Work Experience at Tesco I helped out with tasks around the workplace. I completed tasks such as, online orders, shelf stocking and customer service. I did not get paid during the time there even though I worked full days (9AM-5PM) for 2 weeks. However, the experience was good and I enjoyed to see how the workplace moved and worked.

Great pay, poor support
Customer Assistant (Current Employee), ScarboroughJune 23, 2014
Pros: free grub in canteen
Cons: not enough staff
As I work on price integrity work loads can be extremely high, too high for one person to do the required work by the deadline on time. Very few people are trained to do it, And when I ask a manager for some help they just say stop talking and get on with it. When i was only asking for someone to help get the store legal.

Busy and lively workplace.
Deputy Manager (Current Employee), BlackwoodJune 23, 2014
Pros: incentives, salary, ability to progress through company.
Cons: work to life balance.
Depending on shift worked, but based on opening shop, open shop, get tills ready for opening, find out times of deliveries, see who's on shift, see what activities/tasks have been set for the working day, and work out how they will be accomplished, and deliver/delegate the tasks at hand.
I have leant how to successfully manage a team, provide excellent – more... customer service, routines, how to complete administration tasks/stock control tasks thoroughly and correctly, how to work to deadlines, how to process deliveries and how to train staff effectively.
As a manager, I am firm but fair, but however wouldn't ask someone to do a task, that I would not do myself. How to accurately record possible issues, and deal with cash handling.
In general, my co-workers are very good at there jobs, ask what is done of them, trained to the best of standards to make sure all standards are met.
Hardest part of the job, is my work to life balance.
Most enjoyable part of the job, is working with people and giving excellent customer service, as well as working with some really good staff with promising prospects. – less
