Health and Safety Manager (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 7 September 2016
Very safety conscious environment. Start the day with a tour, tool box talks and any reports due. I was the only full time safety person for a staff of over 150 front to back. There was a lot of paperwork and that is where I had the chance to coach other staff to accept responsibility. When you are visible and listen to people you gain respect.

Facilities Maintenance Technician (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 19 January 2016
Loved working at Tesco- Unfortunately down-sizing due to the economy resulted in layoffs. Management always treated me well and gave me the freedom to accomplish my tasks relatively unsupervised which fit well with my prior experience of owning my own business
Clothing Assistant (Former Employee) – Leicester – 27 September 2013
Typically I would work evening shifts so I would be responsible for tidying up the shop floor from the day, emptying the changing room rails and then restocking later that night. I learnt a lot about the retail industry and also the importance of team work. Because Tesco is a large company management often changed regularly so it was hard to keep a good relationship, so I would say this was the hardest part of the job. The most enjoyable part was offering my opinions on peoples outfit choices and giving other suggestions.
Excellent and safe work place. With team atmosphere.Forklift operation, shipping ,receiving
Shipper / Receiver/Lift Truck Operator/Inventory (Former Employee) – Calgary, AB – 30 September 2015
Early AM(4:30-5:30) daily forklift and warehouse equipment maintenance and safety checks.Unlock yard gates.Inspect incoming deliveries and freight for correct amount and damages from previous afternoon shift .Put away in inventory with gun.Unload incoming trucks and couriers, load products.Put away ln inventory or deliver to manufacturing. At shift barring overtime clean warehouse and plug in all electric lifts .Nice to work there, with little supervision .Management was very supportive and appreciating of my work and diligence .Safety was first concern which made a comfortable place to be employed .Priority shipments coming in or shipped out were about the only red tape due to constant badgering from salesmen or manufacturing. Overall the management ,supervisors and coworkers were a pleasure to work with.
Lots of overtime, Trusting management with little supervision, Acknowledge accomplishments with awards and lunches, etc.
Sometimes to much demands repeatedly from different people.Other than that not much for cons.
Cost Analyst (Former Employee) – Calgary – 19 November 2012
Busy typical day at work. Learnt about manufacturing and Great Plains software. Good management and fun place with co-workers. The hardest part of the job was year end inventory, staying long hours but at the same time the most enjoyable part of the job and created more sense of team spirit within co-workers.
