Site Administrator (Former Employee) – Fort McMurray, AB – 20 April 2014
I have learned a few things from Terracon. I did not enjoy working with this company although I met many great people. I found that the work place had it's own people and you were either in the group, or out. It made me unhappy and I felt like I did not fit in. The pay was not adequate enough to support 1 person living in Fort McMurray.
On the other side of things I learned a lot about TAC (old data entry payroll system), CDMS, etc. Terracon was my first job related to my accounting course and it really showed me a lot about people and the work force. I believe it was an experience I had to go through to get where I am today.
Quality Control Supervisor (Current Employee) – Fort McMurray Alberta – 10 August 2013
This company gives its employees a massive amount of latitude as far as expanding there knowledge and job scope. When I leave the company I will truly miss the management group. The hardest part of my job is dealing with employees who refuse to think or apply there education.
This company ie very flexable
The senior salary staff is paid considerably less than the junior field staff.
Receptionist/Data Entry - Vacation Fill In (Former Employee) – Fort McMurray, AB – 10 May 2013
My typical workday for this company was to create data reports all day everyday. I learned that they did not like tardiness and were expected to come to work sick. The owner of the company was friendly but the management was rude in the regard to mistakes. The hardest part of the job was to understand the hand writing of the technicians. The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting new people.
