TerraCap was founded by W. Stephen Hagenbuckle in June 2008. Mr. Hagenbuckle was the sole or lead/managing investor in 28 private investment vehicles prior to launching TerraCap I, and he has completed over $150 million in real estate acquisitions, developments, construction and sales since 1996. His prior real estate investments have generated, on – more... average, a compound annual levered return in excess of 65 percent. He has a clear understanding of market research, market cycles, land/site planning, entitlement, zoning, building and construction, packaging and resale.
Mr. Hagenbuckle became an entrepreneur in 1995 when he co-founded Techware Consulting as President/CEO. In less than two years, Techware employed 155 professionals with revenues in excess of $14 million. Techware was acquired by Denver-based CIBER (CBR-NYSE) in 1997, in a transaction in which Techware's lead investor received 48 times his investment in two years. In 1998, he co-founded, ORUS Information Services as President/CEO, which in 2 1/2 years employed 245 professionals and generated revenues in excess of $23 million. Mr. Hagenbuckle sold his interest in ORUS in 2000, and Mr. Hagenbuckle has focused on real estate investments since that time.
Mr. Hagenbuckle is one of the founding shareholders in Landmark Bank/GiantBank.com (Fort Lauderdale), where he served as a board member for 10 years until recently retiring the position to focus solely on real estate investments.
