ABC Head Start offers a comprehensive preschool and family support program for families with low incomes. Operating in 13 locations across Edmonton, our goal is to prepare children for a successful educational experience in partnership with the family and community. ABC Head Start is accepting applications for a Planning Manager.
Reporting to the Executive Director the Planning Manager provides leadership in planning and evaluation of ongoing and new programs and services and coordinates specific planning and evaluation projects as required throughout the year.
The Planning Manager is responsible for:
*Leading the implementation and monitoring of the agency’s outcome
based service delivery planning cycle, including the oversight of
the strategic and operational plans
*Facilitating the development and maintenance of systems and
processes for the ongoing measurement of outcomes
*Implementing systems and processes to collect and analyse data,
trends and other related information that impact the agency, its
community and programs
*Collecting, analysing and reporting the progress of program outcomes
for funders, clients, board and other organizations
*Representing the agency on inter-agency committees and networks
that may impact the future direction of programming in the agency
*Leading program or agency projects undertaken by the organization
and developing action plans, schedules and timelines for the
*Development and updating of agency policies and procedures
*A Post -Secondary Degree in a related field; a degree in social
*Experience with strategic and operational planning processes
*Experience in project management
*Program evaluation experience is required
*Strong working knowledge of MS Office, with particular expertise
with advanced functions in Excel and databases
*Ability to analyze immediate and long term impacts of environmental
trends, program opportunities, and develop options to address a wide
range of potential directions
*Strong written skills with the ability to prepare complex evaluation
and funder reports
*Excellent networking skills, with experience working to develop and
implement agency partnerships and collaborations
Compensation: $66770.32 to $74169.67 annually depending on experience.
