I sat at a desk.
Operator and Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Vancouver, BC25 April 2017
I sat at a desk and got yelled at by people who wanted to get a better deal on their tv and internet services. It was not so much fun as I also got in trouble if I gave customers too many discounts.

Channel care Analyst IV (Former Employee) –  Calgary,Alberta24 April 2017
Enjoyed my tenure with TELUS, management was reliable and trustworthy - on the downside a lot of switching teams and management which is not favorable amongst the teams and staffers.

Fun and challenging
Sales Reprisentative (Former Employee) –  Halifax, NS24 April 2017
Great way to challenge yourself everyday with new customers. You never know how you will react when something or someone terrible comes your way. I credit jobs like this for the reason I stay calm in high stress situations. Loved it and would recommend to any young adult looking to make a decent living while keeping a semi-busy social live.

I feel that TELUS needs to start focusing on the employees more and bring the call centre back to Canada. Too much of the Business is moving to international countries and that hurts the Canadian Job market.

Large multi-focused telecommunications business
Senior Manager (Former Employee) –  Toronto, ON10 April 2017
Need to be flexible and able to respond to changing business needs and requirements.
Business units often work in their 'silos' resulting in multiple levels of approval required.
Pros
Large multi focused organization, with a customer focus strategy.
Cons
Very fluid organizations with multiple objectives, often not allgned.

Great place to work
Corporate Customer Sales & Service (Current Employee) –  Montréal, QC6 April 2017
Starting off with great benefits and salaries.

The company is constantly changing to face new challenges and continue to be the best in customer experience.

Change comes with its toll, so your work culture must be equal to that of change.

Great colleagues and managers. There are politics just like any other corporation of this size. However they listen and take change opportunities very seriously.
Pros
Salary, Benefits and Culture, performance bonus
Cons
Schedule when you start.

Job is mentally demanding but the pay is amazing! I feel that telus does not offer work life balance on the retail side of the company.

Team Leader @ UpStat Marketing (Former Employee) –  Kelowna, BC27 March 2017
As a door-to-door based position and 100% commission being the only pay structure, employees are actually contracted and must use the most of their sales skills and high pressure techniques to close deals in order to make money. Long hours but high potential for money. Quick advancement if successful.
Pros
Excellent salary
Cons
Position will be obsolete in less than 5 years
