Opportunities for advancement internally are minimal, hiring managers show preference for external hires. In addition to countless layoffs in the recent years, the already low salaries have been frozen for 3 years (from 2016-2019). Do not expect a pay raise, even at the rate of inflation. But no company offers better work/life balance, with allowing you to work from home as often as you wish.
