Tier 2 Tech Support Specialist/Junior Application Support Specialist
The Technical Support Specialist will be primarily responsible for providing advanced support for customer facing DSL, Cable network and internal corporate systems. This position is located in our Chatham office location.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Director of Corporate Systems, the duties and responsibilities of the Tier 2 Tech Support Specialist/Junior Application Support Specialist include:
Troubleshooting advanced customer networking; connectivity issues; VoIP connectivity and quality of service and customer facing email issues.
Assist in deploying and supporting corporate desktop environments.
Maintaining and monitoring Active Directory in a multi-site, multi-domain installation.
Ensuring PCs and servers are kept up to date and free of potential exploits.
Ensuring corporate data is protected.
Assisting in maintaining internal corporate systems including corporate email, messaging, websites, SQL Servers, Sharepoint farm, and call center phone system.
Assisting in maintaining Server based hardware and iSCSI SAN.
Maintaining and monitoring system to detect faults or resource outages for all systems.

Minimum Qualifications
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008 and 2012 including the use of HyperV
In depth knowledge of Windows 7 operating systems and MS Office productivity suite

Core Competency Requirements
Excellent understanding of DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP, and HTML
Excellent understanding of network technologies in both IPv4 and IPv6; DSL technology; DOCSIS2 and DOCSIS3 cable networks
Expert knowledge of networking using both IPv4 and IPv6
Ability to install, deploy and troubleshoot desktop PC operating systems and productivity software

Preferred Competency Requirements
Working knowledge of RADIUS, PPPoE, and other network protocols
Working knowledge of telephony and SIP
Ability to install, deploy and troubleshoot issues relating to various Microsoft Applications including SQL Server, Lync, Exchange, SharePoint
