DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Gathering details from customers and providing information about products or services.
Documenting customer interactions—writing clearly and briefly.
Listens to and makes an initial attempt to resolve low level customer issues and seeks appropriate assistance if needed to resolve a complaint or transfers calls to appropriate staff.
Suggest new products and services to customers.
Provide support on special projects as needed.
Recommend process improvements.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma required - Post-Secondary Diploma/Degree preferred
Minimum two (2) years previous experience in a customer service role
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Outlook
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
Active listening – giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking appropriate questions and conveying information effectively
Able to effectively handle complaints and negotiate with others
Flexible – being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace
Ability to problem-solve–analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution
Detail-oriented with demonstrated time management and organizational skills
