Head chef and kitchen manager for popular 90 seat neighbourhood Pub in new trendy dining area of Toronto. Responsible for the scheduling of a small but efficient kitchen staff, planning menus and specials in timely manner and communicating plans to GM for advertising on social media, estimating, ordering, implementing budget control measures, maintaining hygiene and quality assurance, liaising with GM and front of house staff and providing consistent standards, routines and leadership for kitchen staff. Ability to adapt menus and ideas to demands of local clientele within pub classic theme.

Experience and Skills:
Talent and the vision and the desire to assist pub in continuing to be a friendly, reliable, good quality but reasonable local favourite staff can be proud of.
Previous experience managing a culinary team in a fast environment.
Food Safe Certified
Experience with projection and management of inventory, food cost, labour, variable costs, prep charts, etc.
Ability to participate in or run meetings with owners and/or staff.
Knowledge and consistent compliance of government health and safety standards.
Proven Leadership Skills - Patience with staff, good people development and motivation skills, technical culinary skills training, policy and procedure management, time management, problem solving/decision making.
Excellent Interpersonal Skills- Self-motivated/driven, positive/high energy but stable and consistent, excellent written and verbal communication skills, administration skills, adaptability/flexibility, absolute dependability/attendance, appearance/grooming. Proven ability to achieve short and long term goals. Highly organized.
