Entertaining place to work, with great advisors.
A typical day at work started of getting on the bus for a 45min bus ride to the mine. We arrived at the mine at 7:00am. From then I would go to my desk and open up the DCS, and my spreadsheets and update them. At 8am we had a metallurgical department meeting everyday, where we would say what we would do and be assigned jobs also. I worked in the new mill, which was had only been running for 1 month before I arrived. Things did not always run smoothly.
I got along great with my co-workers, they were all very helpful, and taught me a lot. I still am in contact with a few. The hardest part of my job was getting things done in a timely manner, this was mainly due to the processes of getting things implemented, was dependent on others. The most enjoyable part of my job was the people, and how everyone wanted the plant to keep running, and get better recoveries. It was a competitive environment, which I love.
