Productive and Fun Workplace for high school and college students
Cart Attendant (Current Employee), Garner, NC – May 20, 2013
Pros: flexible work schedule, learning opportunties
Cons: rare weekends off
Target is a very productive and fun place to work. Especially for those who are coming in as first time workers. Although Target will gladly cross train you, there is not a lot of advancement opportunities without a college degree. Being that other than a management position you will be stuck at the same pay rate no matter what part of the store you – more... work at. Management are some of the nicest people I have met. Very good at working with you on your work schedule and any problems you face at in the workplace. The hardest part of my job was all the weekends i had to work. Depending on your position you rarely got a Saturday or Sunday off unless you asked for it. The most enjoyable part of my job was coming in seeing all my co workers and helping guests that need help. – less

Fun place to work with bonus for exceptional work.
Sales Floor Operator (Former Employee), Conyers GA – May 20, 2013
Pros: 401k and pension plans.
Cons: part time hours and short lunch breaks.
Completing multiple task during work schedule due to the fact that the store doesn't have enough hours to run the store properly. Management struggling to fill open spots due to cll outs. Staff moral down due to not getting enough hours in order to take care of their families. Being able to assist the customers is most enjoyable.

Electronics Sales Associate (Former Employee), Brooklyn Park, MN – May 20, 2013
Pros: 10% discount
Cons: should work with employees better
get to work organize thing, sell some things, break, sell some more things for a couple hours, another break sell some more things, organize stuff & then leave. i learn how to manage a department kind of. the management was alright but not the greatest. the co-workers were great. trying to do customer service & organizing at the same time was the hardest. – more... the 10% discount was the most enjoyable part. – less

My co-workers are cool
Cart Attendant/cashier (Current Employee), San Diego – May 19, 2013
Pros: cool co-workers and will work around school(mostly)
Cons: understaffed
Weekdays are easy and weekends are very busy and they understaff the store if sales goals are not being met. A lot of my co-workers are friends of mine and that helps a lot. Management is hit or miss, some are really nice and some are just cold.

Team work highly valued.
Sales Floor Team Member (Current Employee), Houston, TX – May 19, 2013
Putting clothes back onto the floor, cleaning the area, answering phone and helping guests. I learned how to ask for help instead of taking on to much work, and how to create mutual work relationships. My co-workers are friendly and very helpful and informative and answered all of my questions without getting annoyed. Hardest part was only working on – more... weekends there was a lot of traffic, and the most enjoyable part were team huddles. – less

Nice work enviroment.
Retail - Cashier/ Stockperson (Former Employee), Baltimore, MD – May 19, 2013
Ringing up customer items, using cash register. Management was a more behind the scenes, didn't work or see a lot of the managers. I mostly worked with Team Leaders. I knew a few of my co-workers and they were friendly and nice to work with. There was nothing really hard about the job maybe closing at night, cause it took so long at times.
