I RECEIVED MY ST JOHNS AMBULANCE CERT.THE FIRST 5 YEARS I WAS ASSISTANCE SUPERVISOR IN ELECTRONIC BUT THAT WAS THE STORE WAS SIMPSONS. I ENJOYED MY VERY MUCH I WOULD HAVE RETIRED FROM THE COMPANY BUT BECAUSE OF CUT BACK I HAD TO LEAVE. I AM ONLY 53 SO I HAVE MANY YEARS TO WORK.

it s good to work as a guest service representative at target. Most of people are friendly and nice.. however, the position does not have much challenge..and less advancement chance. it is a chance for me interact with more different types of people, understanding more people needs and address guest frustration in some situation.However i would like – more... to have more challenge and the jobs should be related to my education. Target is not yet open in Canada. Comments by employees at the retail level are false, because there are no stores open yet. Head office stocked the offices with new employees a few months ago. There is lots of talk about bad employee relations in Canada main office. Using office staff to unload trucks at stores being set up. taking office people to the stores to do labor work and heavy lifting. Hiring people for a job and then not putting them in the job. not following employment standards or safety.

Great company to work for. They really strive to make you feel like a team and in some cases even like family. It all depends on the management culture. The pay is low for most but if you manage to move up and become a team leader then the pay is pretty great. They are great at promoting from within so hard work can get you a long way.

A typical day at Target starts by clocking in and doing a group huddle. As sales floor team members we are encouraged to acknowledge our peers hard work and dedication. We then break down who will do what. We then grab our strays or "go backs" and head to our areas. We zone (cleaning to the "Target Standard"), put away strays, respond to guest service, – more... all the while providing exceptional customer service to our guest. One of the best parts about Target is the people that you meet. The hardest thing to do is to be fast and effective at the same time, especially when zoning.
