Role: As Member Care & Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for providing the marketing and administrative support for the department’s engagement, retention and community strategies. Central to this role is understanding Talisman Centre’s member philosophy and advancing its member culture. This role encompasses a wide variety of responsibilities and involves liaising with numerous departments and team members. A positive, idea driven personality is vital, along with building strong working relationships with staff and members.

Reports to: Sales and Marketing Director

What You’ll Do:

Analytics:

  • Pull various reports including but not limited to: renewals, swipes, sales, withdrawals, retention, program registration, promotional sales statistics, member statistics and loyalty retention
  • Analyze various reports as per above, and manually extract candidates that fit specific criteria, search for trends, as well as cross reference against complementary reports
  • Use of Talisman Centre’s software program, CLASS
  • Contact specific members by phone or email based on report results, and track results through business reporting and qualitative analysis

Retention Strategies:

  • Contact members that are a high risk for deflection to check their usage, suggest new activities, and provide solutions or resolve any issues
  • Offer personalized care to customers through structured follow up

Program Registration:

  • Maintain quarterly program registration administration
  • Analyze registrations between member/non-member to determine target marketing efforts
  • Be main contact for interdepartmental programing process and inquiries

Marketing:

  • Tracking and analysis of Member Guest passes
  • Obtain quotes, order, and maintain inventory of promotional swag
  • Community Board management
  • Charitable donation requests management and tracking
  • Assist and attend member and community events (tradeshows, stampede breakfast, river clean up, RIPPED-A-THON, partner events) and act as a brand ambassador for Talisman Centre
  • Competitive Market research
  • Produce customer alerts and support internal signage requests when appropriate
  • Support graphics coordinator with social media updates, web updates, and scoreboard updates
  • Provision of administrative support to marketing team members as required
  • Other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum post-secondary education in business or marketing
  • InDesign Graphic software experience or comparable will be considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, deadline driven with strong attention to detail and business acumen
  • Driven, success-oriented, flexible team player who can juggle evolving priorities in a collaborative, creative and fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills – MS office, Excel
  • Enthusiastic individual who wants to be exposed to a strategic Sales and Marketing department
