We are looking for a Wireless Field Technician for various projects around Ontario, based out of Toronto. This is a 6 month contract position that has a great possibility of extension. Must have some experience working on wireless sites for the major operators in Canada. Please respond to this ad with your resume. -Installation of Equipment at Wireless sites including: DC power equipment, Microwave, Cisco and Juniper switches, BTS units, Fiber and Copper patch panels.

-Installation of supporting equipment including cable trays, racks, hangers, rods, top supports.

-Cabling, termination, and testing of DC, Copper, Fiber, RF and alarm cabling.

-Microwave orientation and testing

-Fiber Splicing, Termination and OTDR, ORL, Loss Testing

Experience Preferred:

-Installing and commissioning Ericsson BTS and MW equipment such as Minilink TN, RRUS, RRUW, Ericsson RBS 6601 and associated DC and Fiber cabling.

-Installation and commissioning of other BTS equipment including Huawei, NSN, ZTE

-Installation and commissioning of other Microwave equipment such as Dragonwave, Redline AN80i and Alcatel MPR 9500. Installation, operation and testing

-Experience working with armored 24F SM Fiber cabling, splicing and terminating to pre loaded FPPA using Fusion Splicer or pre stubbed connectors

-Termination of Copper cabling to RJ45, BIX, DSX, panels

-Termination of RF cabling including FSJ4, LDF4, LDF5.

-OTDR operation, interpreting and recording results for customer close-out packages

-Operation of Layer 2 Test equipment such as JDSU TBERD 6000A, FST 2802, or EXFO FTB 8510B

-Commissioning of DS1 equipment and testing with DS1 test set. DS3-OC192 commissioning and testing experience is a plus

-Anritsu Sitemaster, PIM test equipment and spectrum analyzer operation
-DAS installation and testing a plus

-Experience working in Rogers Wireless, Telus Mobility, Bell Mobility, Wind, Public or Mobilicity wireless tower, rooftop and in-building sites. Candidate must know how to work safely in these locations and achieve the quality expected by these operators. The more experience with different operators, the better.

-Climbing certification and experience is a plus.


-Must have own vehicle available if need be for travel to sites, mileage will be reimbursed.
-Must have clean driving record and provide abstract for use of company vehicle and rentals
-Must be eligible to work in Canada
-Must have clean criminal history to obtain higher level Federal security clearances
