Bilingual Payroll Administrator

Working on this team who provides payroll services for over 2000 employees, you will process payroll for approximately 500-600 people. Responsibilities will include:
- Verifying information received via the time-keeping system to ensure accuracy prior to doing the upload into the payroll system;
- All preparation work required to process hourly and salary payrolls for multiple provinces including Quebec;
- Verification of data related to ROE’s and T4’s including balancing and year-end processing;
- Researching and implementing changes to ensure current processes reflect all updates in legislation in a multi-provincial environment;
- Providing timely responses to all enquiries and requests from department managers and employees;
- Administer WCB payments and reconciliation of all payroll-related accounts;
- Review and recommend process improvements to increase efficiencies of all internal systems used;
- Provide back-up for your team.
An experienced payroll person is required for this position; therefore, qualifications for this opportunity will require a minimum of 2 years of payroll processing experience and ideally the completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certificate Program. Experience with troubleshooting systems to resolve issues, being organized to improve efficiencies, as well, as being deadline driven are all great qualities you possess. You are a true team player who understands the value of cross-training, assist your team mates during busy times and bring a positive attitude to work every day. Verbal and written communication in French is required to effectively communicate with the Quebec region and Government agencies. Please indicate in your email if you have ADP and Kronos experience or programs similar to them.
