Trindent Consulting has an opening at the Associate Principal role to support and grow our business within our three industry verticals: Financial Services, Energy (particularly Oil and Gas) and Healthcare. Our focus is on implementing efficiencies for our clients and the successful incumbent will have a track record for driving measurable successes on projects in our three niche markets . We have plans for considerable growth and are looking for an incumbent who can drive multiple projects while growing the business


Business Development: Determine follow-on business development opportunities within assigned client organizations.

Structure: Learn and apply the Trindent approach to an engagement, and ensure that the framework is consistently applied across client engagements, and that staff operate within its guidelines.

Training: Conduct monthly training sessions to ensure consultant delivery skills are growing rapidly, and that training sessions address the needs and learning desires of the operations team.
Performance Management : Monitor the Consultant’s progress, offer feedback and mentoring, and if needed, utilize performance management and progressive discipline processes to correct performance gaps and weaknesses. Train, mentor and inspire consultants to understand and leverage their strengths.

Managing Costs : Ensure that assigned engagements are conducted on time and on budget with respect to consultant billable time and travel expenditures.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain professional relationship with senior and C-level client executives and expand professional network in client organizations. Should be well acquainted with client's business situation, able to speak on behalf of the client's best interests, and countering views of the client executives if necessary. Anchor new and existing client accounts, and interfacing on engagement-level client concerns.

Engagement Delivery and Management: Guide engagements; lead project launch to ensure that the engagement is kicked off smoothly. Provide intellectual leadership and active partner participation for the portfolio of projects, review the progress periodically with the team as well as the client, appropriately intervene in critical situations, and guide the team to address critical issues to ensure that the client realizes the business value articulated at the time of the deal closure. Must be active in the details of the program and have a positive impact on the outcome. Provide review support and guidance for the engagement lead, resolve issues escalated to finalize and conclude the engagement.

On-Boarding the Team: Provide overview and guidance to the team lead / team in large programs to prepare the team for effective client delivery. Build high morale and a highly effective team. Position programs for success.

Talent Sourcing and Retention: Demonstrate the ability to attract, retain and develop top 10% consulting talent and the next generation of Trindent Consulting leaders. Plan headcount distribution, identify upcoming skill needs and potential sourcing pools, interview candidates, influence a favorable perception of Trindent as an employer, and decide on offer details to ensure that the practice has the appropriate skills required.

Employee Scheduling: Ensure that assigned consultants are as close to fully-leveraged as possible, with proactive steps taken to match the right consultant with the right client delivery opportunity.

Note: This position requires at a minimum 80% (Monday – Thursday) overnight travel, mostly to client sites in the United States and Canada, but could include international travel as well. We prefer that the incumbent reside in the Greater Toronto area in Canada, and must be able to qualify for a TN Work Visa under NAFTA.


Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 5+ years in operations management consulting where they have been managing and driving results-based projects. Candidates must have solid knowledge of processes-driven methodologies and have a focus on continuous process improvement. Qualified candidates at the Associate Principal level should have a minimum of a Master’s degree and must be proficient in project and operations consulting management. The ability to remain flexible and to successfully adapt to a variety of working environments is a must. All applicants should demonstrate superior numeracy, problem solving, and relationship building skills.

The Incumbent will possess one or more knowledge spikes in Financial Services Back-Office Operations Improvement, Oil and Gas (Supply Chain, Maintenance Productivity, and Loss control) or Health Care Operations (Hospitals or Medical Devices).
