We presently have an opportunity for an Inventory Control Supervisor in our Operational Procurement Department located at our Coil Products Division in Scarborough, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Identify, implement and manage POU locations in the plant
• Train production supervisors to manage POU locations
• Ensure data integrity for receiving, and inventory at all locations
• Ensure 24-hour turnaround time for all goods receiving and work with purchasing departments for resolution of all inventory issues
• Maintain the integrity of the facility through cycle counts, annual inventories and various audits
• Follow 5 S and lean principles in all inventory areas
• Ensure that all processes are documented and up to date
• Prepare inventory reports on slow, non moving and obsolete inventory and bring them to resolution.
• Contribute in meeting target inventory turns
• Supervise the ISO 14001 Labeling, storage and documentation
• Oversee the scrap containment and transactions
• Safe work practices and company safety rules are adhered to at all times
• Flexible to work on a two shift rotation at both Coil Products facilities

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in a management/supervisory capacity
• CPIM (Certification in Production and Inventory Management) or CAPIC (Canadian Association for Production Inventory Control) certification is an asset
• Experience in Tier 1 ERP system and SAP experience is an asset
• Six Sigma or lean manufacturing training and project experience is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft office with intermediate MS Excel skills
• Supervisory experience with an ability to coach, motivate and develop employees in a team atmosphere
• Strong leadership skills required to implement continuous improvement systems and methods
• Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and analytical skills with a proven track record with inventory control and planning
