Toronto Research Chemicals Inc., a global exporter of more than 46,000 research chemicals is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to oversee the company’s day-to-day operating activities.
As Chief Operating Officer you will:
report to the President.
manage the company’s day-to-day operating activities, including the coordination, management and supervision of the following departments; purchasing, production, quality control and operations.
be involved in planning and budget development to support strategic business goals.
demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.
develop and implement policies and procedures to support overall company objectives.
oversee production of more than 37,000 bio-chemicals and integrate all related functions including purchasing, QC, production and new product development.
collaborate with management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth of the organization.
be responsible for the quantifiable measurement and effectiveness of all processes and development of all standard operating procedures.

- Master’s or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Business/ CA degree would be considered an asset
- Minimum 10 years experience in a job lot production environment. At least 5 years in an executive level position
- ISO experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills
- Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning
