Our client, A leader in the commercial mining industry is looking for a qualified Law Clerk to join thier team on a temporary basis. Long-term employment is possible based on performance.
Location will be in the Downtown core and pay wage for the position will be from $28.00/hr-$37.50/hr based on experience.

The role of a law clerk is to support the Corporate Secretary & Counsel. Some responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting in the coordination of board and committee meetings; maintenance of corporate records, board governance manual and minute books; drafting corporate minutes; regulatory filings; and general administrative support.
Filing press releases on Sedar and Edgar
Maintaining the board governance manual
Maintaining corporate records and minute books
Preparing and drafting corporate minutes, and resolutions and consents
Coordinating board, committee meeting dates and materials
Assisting in the preparation and assembly of board and committee packages and uploading material to portal
Correspondence with the board of directors
Preparing audit enquiry letters
Completing the director fees schedule
Administration of RRSPs, stock options and RSUs
Payment and tracking of invoices
Maintain legal filing system
Draft budget for NAP corporate and legal expenditures
Corporate and TSX filings
Preparation of director and officer expense reports
Filing SEDI reports
Maintaining worksheet to track issued and outstanding shares
Update information available on NAP intranet
Maintain data and sites for due diligence purposes
Book travel and itineraries (flight, car, hotels through travel agent)
Manage calendar and contacts
Liaise with transfer agent
Assist with insurance renewal
Provide support on transactions (corporate finance/ M&A, etc)
