A Not for Profit Organization fromn Downtown Toronto looking for a Contract Accounting Clerk.

$15 to $16/hour
Employment Duration: Start ASAP- 2 weeks full time and after 2 days per week until mid August
Hours of work: Every Wednesday 1:00pm - 6:00pm.
-Prepare and record invoices for sponsors, merchants, march participants and others as required.
-Maintain records of invoice and other payments; maintain current accounts receivable ledgers. Record revenues in general
-Maintain records of authorized expenses; maintain current accounts payable ledgers.
-Issue cheques for expenses as approved by authorized staff.
-Reconcile credit card payments with invoices or other authorized approvals.
-Record expenses in general ledgers.
-Enter payroll and related expense information (as provided by payroll agency) in general ledgers.
-Prepare monthly revenue and expense reports with variance from approved budgets noted and, where appropriate,
-Prepare monthly updates to the balance sheet.
-Maintain records of HST revenues and expenses; prepare HST returns.
A background in accounting or bookkeeping for a not-for-profit organization would be ideal.
