Our client a large construction company that specializes in commercial, institutional and industrial construction projects is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their rapidly growing team.
Location: Brampton ON (must be willing to travel to various construction project sites with the GTA/ON)
Salary: Negotiable with experience and qualifications
Position Status: Full Time Permanent Position
-Provide expert support to manage the procurement process for the company
-Lead all procurement initiatives for the company
-Work closely with the Project Team members and Leads to issue RFP’s, establish proposal evaluation criteria and recommend contract awards
-Lead process to source and acquire materials, supplies, equipment and services
Identify areas to reduce costs and increase bottom line. Strong business acumen to identify opportunities
-Oversee vendor management process and ensure that the client is being served throughout the contract lifecycle
-establish vendor performance measurement indicators and ensure the performance meets and/or exceeds expectations.
-Develop comparative bid analysis and presentation materials per procurement initiative
-Complete all documentation relative to the procurement process
-Prepare management reports and weekly status reports; update contract records and maintain a database of contractors, vendors and sourcing networks
-Cross organizational communication to improve on the procurement process by collaborating with various stakeholders
-Strong relationship building skills, build a network or resources to support the company’s procurement initiatives.
- 5-7 years experience in procurement
- 3-5 years Managerial experience
- Secondary School Diploma and completion of a Business program from a recognized post-secondary institution. A recognized procurement designation or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
