Description Overview:
The Business Technology Risk Manager (BTRM) – Technology Risk Mgmt & Information Security (TRMIS) is responsible for ensuring technology controls are sufficiently protecting business risk, through the application of the Technology Risk & Control framework, and overseeing security standards, policies and procedures for TDCT Technology Solutions.
Job Description:
We are looking for a dynamic IT Manager to join the Business Technology Risk Manager (BTRM) team within Technology Risk Management & Information Security (TRMIS), to manage a team of IT Specialists responsible for ensuring technology controls are sufficiently protecting business risk, through the application of the Technology Risk & Control framework, and overseeing security standards, policies and procedures for TDCT Technology Services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for IT Risk, and will provide leadership to the BTRM team that is responsible to ensure appropriate levels of technology controls are in place to protect against defined business risks, IT findings within Audit programs are managed and security programs are represented. The candidate will report to the Associate Vice President of Business Technology Risk Management within TRMIS, and will have:
Excellent Leadership and motivational abilities for a team of IT Specialist/Analysts, with focus on coaching and developing a culture of teamwork
Excellent communication skills (written & verbal), with proven ability to effectively interact with individuals across technology, business units and vendors at various levels
Protecting the organization from business risks associated with technology, interfacing with Business and technology leads
Assist the business in resolving technology based audit findings as well as consult with IT Teams to identify mitigation strategies to internal audit finding
Provide a Single Security and IT Risk representative for specific line of business, for all issues, events, and programs.
Support a work environment that promotes team work, quality and innovation
Proven IT experience
Demonstrated abilities to develop strong relationships with partners in Technology Solutions, Architecture, ITS, and Business
Act as a point of escalation for a variety of issues and portfolio-related topics
Identify and implement process improvements that will improve quality, efficiency and reduce costs

Job Requirements:

Demonstrated leadership skills with an ability to make things happen through the use of impact and influencing skills
Proven track record of delivering results ensuring operational, reputational, and proprietary risks are minimized
Self-motivated team player with high energy and ability to work independently as well as within a team
Strong change management & organizational skills, with demonstrated ability to act as a catalyst for change
Ability to manage multiple portfolios, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
Strong Risk Evaluation and Management skills
Experience in the development of direct report team members, in combination with identifying, promoting and engaging a resource planning strategy and practices
Knowledge of the various Technologies and systems utilized at TD Bank
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability in developing internal and external business relationships
Strong customer orientation and a professional approach with the ability to interact with all levels within the organization
Highly developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Promote and support an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism
Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with industry and/or business trends
Experience identifying and implementing process improvements
Willing and able to manage staff with hearing loss

10+ years Information Technology experience
5+ years IT Security experience
CISSP certification
CEH and/or CISM certification recommended
University degree in technology or engineering
