As a Senior Hardware Engineer, you will be part of an R&D team developing high speed analog integrated circuits. We are looking for an engineer with theoretical knowledge and practical experience to contribute to the team.
Working in an R&D test lab environment, duties include performing testing on silicon implementations of high speed analog integrated circuits, analyzing the results, and debugging of silicon under test, as well as supporting hardware. Duties may also include running characterization tests, creating test reports, designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic parts, components and test boards to support test, debug, and characterization.
You will work with a cross functional design team of analog designers and hardware engineers from a wide variety of backgrounds. Our R&D test lab contains high speed test equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and BERT for SerDes test and debug. Our design environment is best in class with a full suite of IC design tools supplemented by custom, in-house tools supported by an experienced software/CAD team. Experience with tools for schematic entry, IC layout and SPICE simulation is required. Knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling and simulation control/data- capture. Experience with TCL, perl, C, python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages is desired. Knowledge of communication systems like PCIe, SATA, USB 2.0, USB3.0 is an asset.
Requirements include strong debugging skills and analog IC design experience to facilitate analyzing and debugging of high speed analog integrated circuits. Applies theoretical knowledge to analyze and explain circuit behavior and limitations. Implements rigorous simulation testbenches to verify circuit performance. Participates in critical peer reviews. Clearly documents all circuit details. Guides, implements and reviews IC schematics and layouts.
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Has working knowledge of work area and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Implementations and solutions are reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy. Builds productive internal/external working relationships.
