Cons: unorganized work schedule
Although the company has great benefits and good work atmosphere, balancing work and life was very difficult. Do to poor organization through corporate office and hours expected to work, it was very stressful and unpredictable.

Syngenta Summary
Head of L&G Supply Chain and Head of L&G Finance (Former Employee), Basel SwitzerlandNovember 5, 2013
Pros: cantina, reka checks, nice campus, fair paycheck and benefits
Cons: political environment, political and intrigue problems, no modivation.
Syngenta is typical of the large companies in Basel Switzerland. The Compensation & Benefits of the company are within measure with Novartis, Roche, etc., Work environment is also about the same.

The management of Syngenta leaves something to be desired because most are powerless to lead their own teams.

If you are fair to yourself, it is possible – more... to work 8.5 hour days, but it is also possible to work 16 hour days. Management doesn't care either way. Also, one needs to be smart enough to stay out of the politics and intrigue (or enjoy such things) to work at Syngenta.

I found working at Syngenta mostly a Thankless task. However, on the positive side, it is easy to sink into the numbers here and get your job done and go home.

Not every role at Syngenta was a bad experience, but the areas where I worked I found the above to be status-quo for this company. – less

A great job for a teenager in high school
Team Leader (Former Employee), De Witt, IAOctober 15, 2013
This is a perfect first job for a high school student. You can make $1500 in two weeks, but it's only a two week job. I worked here for 4 years detasseling and was moved up to an Administrative Team Leader my second year since I did such a great job. I was making $10.25 an hour, which wasn't too bad at the age of 16.
